Scientific Proof that Essential Oils are Effective!
**Science has proven the effectiveness of essential oils in a clinical study titled Effect of an Essential Oil Herbal Mouthwash on Oral Malodor, performed by researchers at the University of Rochester Eastman Dental Center, NY, USA. They tested the breath of thirty healthy adults with a Halimeter - a scientific instrument that measures volatile sulfurous compounds. The tests were performed with a mouthwash made with natural essential oils, a chemical based mouthwash with Chlorhexidine, and a placebo (no active ingredient). Tests made after a single rinse showed that the herbal mouthwash was significantly more effective than both others in reducing whole mouth and tongue malordor - and this effect remained at the end of the six hour study!
